Die Kreisform ist für mich eine Setzung, ist Innehalten und Bewegung gleichermaßen, schließt kosmische und irdische Kreisläufe ein. Sie fokussiert, ist Konzentration.
Die Form des Kreises spielt in meinem Schaffen eine größere Rolle und manifestiert sich in Tondo-Format. Sie steht als geometrische Form an sich und für die Planeten-Form und damit auch für das universelle Kreisen. Die Tondi sind mit ihrer äußeren runden Form inhaltlich und formal verbunden mit „Welt“-Bildern, wie sie als geografische Karten, aber auch als Thema in der Kunstgeschichte immer wieder verhandelt wurden. Sie enthalten sowohl das abstrakte Element der Konzentration und geistiger Kraft, unterstützt durch einfache geometrische Formen wie Quadrate und Dreiecke als auch die sehr konkrete Anmutung von haptischer Qualität von z.T. dick oder lasierend aufgetragener Farbe.
Die Tondi werden waagerecht auf einer Drehkonstruktion/Drehscheibe gemalt.

TONDI
For me, the circular shape is a setting, is both pause and movement, and includes cosmic and earthly cycles. It focuses, is concentration.
The shape of the circle plays a larger role in my work and manifests itself in the tondo format. It stands as a geometric shape for itself and for the planetary shape and thus also for universal circling. With their outer round shape, the Tondi are linked in terms of content and form to “world” images, as they have often been discussed as geographical maps, but also as a theme in art history. They contain both the abstract element of concentration and spiritual strength, supported by simple geometric shapes such as squares and triangles, as well as the very concrete impression of haptic quality of paint that is sometimes applied thickly or in a glaze.
The Tondi are painted horizontally on a rotating construction.
